The representation of conflicting interests is forbidden for Rechtsanwälte due to professional regulations (sect. 43a para. 4 BRAGO). Prior to acceptance of a mandate possible conflict of interests always have to be examined.
Dispute Settlement outside court
In case of disputes between Rechtsanwälten and their clients there are possibilities for an outside court dispute settlement at the regional bar association in Düsseldorf (acc. to sect. 73 para. 2 Nr. 3 and sect. 73 para. 5 BRAGO) or at the mediation body of the German federal bar association (sect. 191 f BRAO) to be found at the website of the German federal bar association (www.brak.de), e-mail: Schlichtungsstelle@brak.de.
